In Oviedo, you can find everything within walking distance; there are several free wi-fi zones and cybercafés throughout the city and especially in the city centre. There are bars or coffee shops or small, cosy restaurants where you can have a cup of coffee and a muffin or a sandwich for less than 3€ and a 3-course lunch with drinks included for less than 10€.

 

If you would rather have homemade meals, there are small grocery shops and mini-markets everywhere or big supermarkets within the city area.

For entertainment, depending on the time of the year you choose to do the course, you may have a variety of options: from classic theatre, to cinema festivals; there are two cinema complexes with more than ten theatres, including an I-max screen.

     
     

Shopping wise, both in the city centre, in a comfortable pedestrian area, or in the shopping centres, you can find anything you may be looking for, from designer clothes to vintage articles.

The local bus service is good (bus fare is 0.90€), there is a modern bus station with regular services to various cities of Spain, and to London and Paris. The train station is also in the city centre. The airport is 40-minutes away and there are regular buses (bus fare 6€).
